How can I make an underwater filter for my sony camera?

I have a Sony DSC-W90 with a MPK-WB underwater housing and I don't want to spend $100 for a plastic filter. Where can I find the stuff to make this filter myself since it is just plastic and what color do I need?

1. It costs $100 because its an optical plastic free of distortion and coloration. Its also sealed.
2. I'm sorry but if your smart you'd just buy it. Belive me its better to buy one than to make one, have it acidentally break, then need to buy a whole new camrea. Chances are your pictures will come out crappy with a homemade filter anyway.
