Can I rent an underwater housing for a Nikon D70s?
I don't think that it's worth the investment (for me) to buy one, so I'd just like to rent one and I was wondering if anyone knows where/if I can do that! Thanks in advance! :)

- Check a high-end camera store in your area. I know the one I use rents housings for some of the more popular Canon & Nikon cameras. If you're going on vacation, check with the dive facility you're going to (I'm just assuming you're going scuba diving); some of them rent housings as well, although it might be hard to find one if the D70 requires a specific housing.
- You need to call around to some of the dive shops locally or in the area that you are going to be diving in. You may be able to find a housing but the is where I have found to be my problems with rentals for SLR cameras (film or digital). There are usually a limited number of selections of lenses that these housings will work with. You need to check to make sure that the ones that they have MATCHES EXACTLY your lens and camera. Not almost, Not close! Not it should work! It must match exactly or you will at best be wasting money on something you can't use or worse ruin your camera and lens from exposure to water. The smallest possible misalignment would be a major leak underwater. The greater the depth the more stress is placed on the equipment. If in doubt, buy your own housing and try it in the tub first and in a pool next or rent the entire rig locally. Don't mess around or you could be looking at buying your camera again.
