  1. You have a couple of options you can either buy a dedicated camera for underwater photography or an underwater case/house for another camera. If you already have a camera take a look on Jessops to see if there is an underwater case that will fit your camera: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/Accessories/Underwater/Underwater%20and%20Weatherproof%20Cases%20(Housings)/Show.html You can filter them by Brand & Price. If there is a case that is available you should then shop around to see if you can get a cheaper deal.
  2. Many pierce and brand of underwater, you can buy from Amazon.com.
  3. There is a type of case that is cheap and works great. It is called DiCAPac and they made cases for several cameras. I bought mine on ebay for $25 and it is great. But if you want to do diving get the case made by the manufacturer or get a special camera. This is tricky and very risky at first but the pictures are great. http://www.dicapack.com/new_eng/01_company/sub04.html Have fun...
  4. Professional housings for existing cameras can run higher in price than the camera itself. If you are going to be using it snorkeling there are some very reasonably priced cameras on the market today, priced from $8.95 to $200.00. If you plan on using the camera for scuba diving it will be a bit more expensive ($200.00 on up) Here is a link to some cameras that may suit your needs, but make sure you read the description which will tell you how deep you can go with them. http://www.snorkelingonline.com/snorkeling/UW-Cameras-and-iPod-Housings.html
  5. Just another site for you to check out for underwater solutions. There are a few options, from bag type housings, to rigid camera specific cases. This place even has a page of packages where you can buy a digital compact with the housing that's made for it. http://www.camerasunderwater.co.uk/index.html
