How deep can you take a Canon Rebel XTI underwater? What are some affordable housing units? Hello, I am going on a trip in the next few months where I plan to do some scuba diving. I've been looking at a few underwater housing units for my Canon Rebel XTI but many are way out of my price range. Does anyone know of any trustworthy ones that are relatively cheap? And how deep can I take my Canon? Has anyone had experience with diving with this camera? Thank You!

I am considering buying a hard plastic case for a digital camera which run around $250. Or I am thinking about trying these soft plastic cases that run around $30. Olympus Stylus 1010 camera; underwater without housing? So it's my understanding that the camera can go underwater *only* with the underwater housing. But my sister (with a similar olympus camera) said that was only for deep sea diving and the camera could go up to ten feet underwater with no housing. Cheap Underwater Housing For My Camera? I take my Canon Rebel T2i everywhere with me and I might be going kayaking this summer. Well, I want to take my camera but I'm afraid it'll get wet. I looked up underwater housing and the lowest price I could find was $90. That's still a bit too much for something I won't be using regularly. Does anyone know of any that are cheaper than that or is there a way I could make one? It doesn't need to go underwater, just something to keep the water off and out of all the parts. I'm not using it for underwater photography so yes I do trust a cheap one just to keep it dry.

Underwater housing for Olympus Fe-320? I need an underwater housing (not the plastic bag type) but solid plastic for my Olympus FE-320.Could anyone tell me if the underwater housing for the Olympus FE-230 fit my FE-320. I have a FE-230 which is broken but compared up to the 320 there almost the same size.The 320 isa little deeper and higher but no more than 2mm.The position of the control buttons are the same so should it work.Ive checked the olympus website but theres no housing listed Can anyone help.

Cheap underwater housing for DSLR's- advice please!? Hey! I'm a student photographer and am about to go to Barbados on holiday- I would love to be able to take my Canon dslr into the pool/sea (snorkeling), but proper housing units cost thousands of pounds and I'm already about to splash out on a new camera (40/50D). I was wondering if anyone has used their DSLR underwater with a cheap housing compromise (DicaPac SLR Waterproof Case for example) and if it's safe/any good! any recomendations or feedback on housing units under £100/$200 would be really helpful! (I currently use a Canon 350D which, after buying the 40 or 50D, I wont mind trying underwater- the lenses I use are 18-55mm, 18-200mm and 50mm 1.8, and not being able to zoom underwater doesnt bother me too much!) thanks!

Can I attach a strobe to my underwater camera housing? I have a Casio Exilim EX- Z1080 which I bought with an underwater housing, the EWC - 90 or similar, to take pictures while I scuba dive. Now I've recently become more interested in my photography and want to maximize the quality of my pictures by adding a strobe. Unfortunately, when I bought the camera, I didn't think of this at the time and apparently the housing doesn't support a strobe. However, at the bottom of the housing it has a screw in connector which looks like it could fit some sort of arm for the strobe. I'm wondering if there are any strobes that I can connect to my housing? I really don't to fork out money for a new camera as the camera is decent enough with 10.1 mega pixels which is what most underwater camera like Sea & Sea are. So can some point me in the right direction? Thanks in advanced.

Help finding a decently priced digital camera with underwater housing? I'm looking for a digital camera that takes good pictures above water (since I love taking pictures in general) but also has an underwater housing, so that I can take pictures on dives. Preferably at least 3-5x optical zoom, and 7-10 mp for a decent price. Any suggestions? I had been looking at the Olympus stylus 1010...but the underwater housing was recalled, which is odd... Well, I would want the zoom for above land, perhaps the Olympus 1030 SW one? (it can go underwater for just taking pictures in fish tanks, pools or snorkeling) and I could always get the housing for deeper dives? Hmm...Thanks !

How deep can I go underwater with a disposable camera ? Canon does not support an underwater housing for my A560. The alternative is a cheap plastic brand that I don't trust. So, since I don't have more money to spend, I was looking into disposable cameras, but most of them are rated mostly up to 20 feet. Is there any brand that can go up to 60 feet ?

Will the Canon Powershot SD1100is fit in the Canon Underwater housing originally manufactured for the SD1000? My SD1000 is dead and Best Buy is junking it out (yay for the extended warantee!) but they dont carry SD1000s anymore.
